Certified Practising Speech Pathologist
Michelle is our Head Speech Pathologist, bringing extensive experience in early intervention for children with speech delays, Autism, speech clarity needs, and literacy challenges. Known for her fun, engaging, and creative approach, no two sessions with Michelle are ever the same. Each session is thoughtfully designed to match the child’s interests, strengths, and sensory needs, keeping therapy motivating and meaningful. Michelle adapts her sessions on the day to suit the child’s mood and regulation needs, while still targeting the core goals that support their communication development.
Michelle is also highly experienced in supporting school-aged children with literacy difficulties. She has undertaken additional professional development in Dyslexia and understands the emotional toll literacy challenges can have on a child. Her approach focuses not only on strengthening literacy foundations but also on empowering children to use technology to support their learning at school and in everyday life.
Passionate about supporting autistic children and their families, Michelle approaches therapy with deep understanding and respect for neurodiversity. As both a clinician and a parent travelling the communication and learning-difficulties journey, she values family-centred practice and early intervention. Above all, Michelle is committed to helping children communicate in ways that reflect their authentic selves.
Allied Health Assistant Level 1
3rd Year Speech Pathology Student
We are delighted to welcome Lulu, a dedicated third-year Speech Pathology student, to the Elanora Heights Speech & Language Clinic team.
Lulu works closely with our Head Speech Pathologist to deliver additional support sessions alongside clients’ existing therapy. She assists clients in building their communication skills—whether through verbal communication or the use of AAC devices—and provides valuable support for those developing foundational literacy skills.
Known for her nurturing, caring, and fun approach, Lulu creates a warm and engaging environment where clients feel supported, confident, and encouraged.

Administration / Assistant
H.T.M
Darla has joined the team to support us with the day-to-day administration of the clinic, such as invoicing and receipting. They also help us to prepare therapy aids and supports which our clients may require.
They are also our H.T.M. (Head Toy Management). Their role is key in ensuring that our toys and clinic are fun, engaging, and in operational order! It is no easy feat given how our clients enjoy exploring our space.

Fostering intrinsic motivation is at the heart of every session—helping children feel excited to learn, practise new skills, and take pride in their progress.
Sessions are play-based, child-led, and individually tailored, targeting speech clarity, receptive and expressive language, speech fluency, engagement, and overall communication development.
Regulation strategies are woven throughout each session to promote focus, emotional readiness, and meaningful participation. Sensory needs, movement breaks, and predictable routines help children feel safe, supported, and ready to learn.
Support for Autistic children is provided with genuine understanding and a strong respect for neurodiversity. Therapy is guided by family-centred practice and an appreciation of each child's unique strengths, challenges, and communication style. The goal is always to help every child communicate in a way that reflects their authentic self. For children who communicate using scripts, sessions incorporate Gestalt Language Development (GLD) principles. Children who are nonspeaking are supported to develop meaningful communication through AAC devices, ensuring they have a reliable and empowering way to express themselves.
Fun, interactive sessions—filled with games, movement, and engaging activities—make practising clear and confident speech enjoyable and effective. Each session is crafted around the individual interests and needs of every child to support motivation and lasting progress.
