Certified Practising Speech Pathologist
B. Speech Pathology, CPSP, SPAA Provider no: 5571444Y
I specialise in early intervention for preschool children with communication difficulties. My sessions are play-based, and we can work on your child's speech clarity, receptive language (what they understand), expressive language (what they can say), fluency of speech, engagement and overall communication. I am an NLA-trained Speech Therapist who has completed the Meaningful Speech course for Gestalt Language Development (GLD).
I also specialise in literacy difficulties for school-aged children. I am "Sounds Write" literacy trained and have undertaken additional courses on Dyslexia. I am acutely aware of the emotional toll these difficulties have on each child. I am a strong believer in not only helping children to develop their literacy but also helping them to use technology to support them at school and in everyday life.
I am passionate about helping children with Autism and their families navigate a world designed for the neurotypical. I understand the challenges that the individual and their families face. As a parent, I continue to travel the communication and learning difficulties journey; I know the importance of family-centred therapy and early intervention. Helping children to communicate in a way that expresses their authentic selves is paramount.

I find the Speech Pathology Australia "Communication Milestones" helpful for parents who are wondering if their child would benefit from Speech Therapy. These guidelines are written in parent friendly language. If you have any concerns regarding your child's speech and language a communication screener can be conducted by Elanora Heights Speech and Language Clinic.
